Fuel and Adrenaline! A fill-up in wellness.
(ANSA) – ROME, 26 JAN 2018 – Driving a sports car is good for one’s health because it gives drivers an adrenaline rush and ultimately rewards you emotionally just like it happens when riding a roller coaster. A Ford’s sponsored researched revealed this unexpected link between driving and theme parks. The study – the European headquarters of the Company clarifies – measured the so-called “buzz” moments, those spikes in emotions that play a fundamental role in our general well-being A group of volunteers were subjected to a comparison of the various emotions triggered by a variety of activities: from driving a car to riding a roller coaster, watching a game of their favourite team at the stadium, being kissed by a lover, taking a dance lesson all the way to enjoying a delicious meal. Among all of them, the result was that driving a sports car triggered emotions that could have a positive impact on one’s health.
It’s true! Sports car. Even just saying it is enough! You feel a smile forming inside, a feeling of evasion and freedom. It puts you in a good mood. Even just the thought of driving it, perhaps along unusual paths, far from the everyday routine, triggers emotions and gives you satisfaction. Then, doing it… is pure pleasure. And the more I think about it, the more I think it is indeed so. In the meantime, as a first step, I choose to wear sporty apparel. I step out of the formal and traditional, perhaps I do not even look at the watch, I do not even think about the traffic that assails and surrounds me in the big city, I do not even hear the insistent honking and the envious glances… I just go and flee. Even without a specific destination, better towards forgotten roads, in the mountains or in the countryside, or along the beach, with sky and nature embracing me. Free to enjoy those mechanical and intense sensations that my sports car grants me. Free to stop to enjoy a view or a kiss. Free and certainly healthier! I speak about it and I feel already better. But it is just a dream, for I do not have a sports car!
